• I created a business plan that won a 2nd place in a competition where there were 40 applicants. The company aimed to fill in the gap of affordable and high-quality assistive technology in Mexico. The business idea was featured in the Universidad Iberoamericana magazine “UIA Community” (29th September 2005), in the “El Universal” neswspaper (31st Aug 2005) with national coverage and the business opportunity was posted in the “Nacional Financiera” website to which potential investors have access. • Funding was secured to receive consultancy to further strengthen the business plan. The business was not followed up since the team members (other two fellow Biomedical Engineers) had just finished university and we had no income to survive in Mexico City.
