User researcher and service designer
Hi,
I am a service designer and mixed methods (quantitative and qualitative) researcher with 19 years of experience driving human-centred design across diverse industries, including medical devices, UK government, community interest companies, research institutions, and global agencies (UNICEF, the Department for Education, NHS England, the Parliamentary Digital Service, Global Disability Innovation Hub).
My approach focuses on understanding and valuing people and services, with a strong emphasis on integrating data and evidence to inform strategic decisions. I have a deep commitment to accessibility and inclusion, making me a strong advocate for creating technology and services that are usable, inclusive, accessible, and humanity centred.
As a versatile researcher skilled in both qualitative and quantitative methods, I excel at employing mixed methods approaches to deliver comprehensive insights. I mentor colleagues on user-centred methods, accessibility, and inclusion, both within my teams and across communities of practice. I am enthusiastic about identifying opportunities to improve ways of working and processes, and I like to research the journeys people take through complex systems to enhance their experiences.
